Eclipse
Perhaps you seek the voices in
my twilight
As much as I yearn the silence
in your sun.
These two worlds have such
thin shields,
Yet they persist their distance.
But they are not so far apart,
For we know the secret.
Grasp my hand, my friend,
And we will scale the wall.
Let us forget its height, its
density, its roughness.
Let us only be aware of the oneness,
the sunshine, and the moonglow
Of our view from these severed worlds.
There is no permanent barrier,
We have denied our minds of that trick.
For just as the sun and moon
Share a view as one,
We'll share our worlds as one.
For we now know the secret of the eclipse:
It is not the sun and moon
Passing each other in silence,
It is their sharing a beauty--
A vision of two worlds as one.
