The tailwheel of the Sukhoi SU-26 competition aerobatic aircraft is supposed to lock in the straight ahead position for takeoff and landing and pivot for steering during taxi. The pin which locks the tailwheel on the customer's SU-26 broke during landing so it would not release the tailwheel to pivot for steering. This shows the hole through which the locking pin extends; note the distortion of the hole on the right.
