The customer was modifying a Suzuki GS500E for racing and wanted a heavier front suspension. This photo shows the steering head from a Suzuki GSXR750 (above) next to the steering pin from the GS500E (below). The customer had planned to install the GS500E steering pin in the GSXR750 triple clamp but damaged it while removing it from the GS500E triple clamp. We determined the simplest solution to this problem was to machine the GSXR750 steering pin to match the GS500E steering pin.
